The Power of Love Versus the Love of Power

I found this photo of another Wicked van. These are for hire and are popular with the young who want something cheap that they can camp in when they want to go surfing or touring. Most have funny quotes or statements written on them.
I'm sure you can read it from the photo but the wording says 'when the power of love overcomes the love of power , the world will have peace'. A timely reminder for all of us when so many countries are in turmoil.
We are leaving shortly to go to a barbecue then attend a bluegrass concert. It is being held in a tiny country hall in the locality of Yabberup. We are taking our bus/motor-home and will stay the night. I'll catch up with you all again tomorrow.

@arthurchappell I have no problem with it either but there were some strange children's names that came out of that era. I know of two brothers whose surname is Joy. Their first names are Dixie and Sunshine. Normally calling someone 'Sunshine' would get you a black eye.

@just4him - I agree that the message is very timely. I wish Mr. Trump believed it. Trump's followers now believe they can be blatant racists. Kids have been filmed walking through schools yelling "white power" and "go home" and "build the wall," while minority children are sitting nearby, crying. It is horrible. Some white people keep telling everyone to "relax, everything will be fine" or "get over it." However, the sight of those children just breaks my heart. When Trump was asked if he regrets the racist tone he took, he said, "No. I won." Disgusting. When people ask why we are still upset three days after the election ... that is why.

The next little town along that road is Mumballup then Noggerup. Mumballup has a bumper sticker saying 'Where the hell is Mumballup? Halfway between Yabberup and Noggerup'. I wouldn't mind living at Mumballup just so I could have the sticker. And yes, very Australian and in a good way. :)

@JudyEv I wrote a while back about power and love ... "love of power destroys but the power of love restores" .. based on my personal experience ... that's why I love that quote you shared ..

@epiffanie The saying you give is very true too. The power of love can be incredibly strong.
