I have a very expensive month coming up. Not only is it xmas but I have my car that I need to get service, Taxed and MOT. Not to mention the costs of fixing the car if things are found wrong with it during the service and MOT. I am officially broke, but as soon as December arrives I am going to be even more broke! Do you dread all the spending of money in December?

@infatuatedbby I am dreading all the expenses! I have to get some toys for my nieces and nephews and we know how over priced toys can be.

I buy the Christmas gifts during the year when i see something that it is appropriate. I do not intend to spend a lot of money this year.

For countless times I promised and broke my promise to not spend too much during December. This year I will promise again and hopefully will not break it again.

I think that people make their own stress at this time of year. They want to buy, buy, buy. It is their choice to do so. I think that if people want to buy nice gifts for people on their list they could start a few months ahead of time.

Money just runs out the door sometimes. Certainly December is a bad month for spending.

Well January was quite tough for me, and I had to cut many of my planned things just to get over in the month.

Well, we have 10 kids to buy Christmas for, plus hubby has just broken his windshield. He was driving under a bridge on the highway where they are working and a big rock came down and smashed his windshield . He has giant circles circling around and round all across him window. Not cool. Goodbye $600!! I know what you are talking about for sure.

You are right. We have to settle many things in December. Because it is year end and all pending activities of the year come in this month.

I start buying presents really early and get some in the sales at the start of the year. Somehow I seem to do ok.

There are many expenses we can prevent to reduce our outcomes in December. It mustn't be too expensive if we plan in advance. Usually, I try to start with my plannings in August or September, when prices are still normal. For example, I already have all my gifts for Christmas and I attended my car in october and I also planned the menu, so I started to buy some of the ingredients.

I do worry a little about December. There are so many expenses during the month of December. So many more than usual. But it's also a really good time, as I am able to spend it with family.

I do hate all of the spending in December. We're moving on Dec. 1st so things will be even more expensive for us!

thankfully i've not autos to tag 'til april...income tax time which i aint lookin' ferward to 's i've nary a clue what the penalty'll be fer havin' no health insurance fer this year. i don't go all out fer Christmas. i prefer to do my 'heavy giftin' fer folks birthdays, 'r if'n i see somethin' i feel they need/like/want throughout the year, i'll get 't fer 'em if'n possible 'n give 't to 'em right 'way. otherwise, i tend to ferget where i stashed 'em, lol.

One of my favorite Merle Haggard songs is If We Can Make It Through December. I understand where you are coming from. Hope you are able to get your car serviced without too much difficulties.

My expenditures in Decembers are not very different than rest of the months.
