Extraterrestrial life is life that may exist and originate outside the planet Earth, the only place in the universe currently known to support life. Its existence is currently purely hypothetical as there is yet no evidence of any other planets that can support life, or actual extraterrestrial life that has been widely accepted by the scientific community. Most scientists believe that if extraterrestrial life exists, its evolution occurred independently, in different places. An alternative hypothesis, held by a minority, is panspermia. This suggests that life could have been created elsewhere and spread across the universe, between habitable planets. These two hypotheses are not mutually exclusive.
The putative study and theorisation of extraterrestrial life is known as astrobiology or xenobiology. Speculative forms of extraterrestrial life range from sapient beings, to life at the scale of bacteria.

Extra terrestrials.. is it a myth or a fact.. only time will tell with the development of science and astro physics!!

The universe is immensely very big, which our mind can not comprehend,so it would be stupid to assume that we are the only living organism in the whole universe. It may take several more decades for us to develope some scientific discoveries to find life in other planets.

i think their are more peoples because we are living in milky way galaxy and their are more galaxies which have their own solar system and belive it or not i saw a light ( very big, circled, and was not so clear, white in colour like torch light) moving in a circle direction. i thought that it is the mistake of my eyes but the light was again and again moving in the circle. i asked of of pedestrian that could you see the light and he said yes and i was shocked. then i called my father and then a large crowd was their. i live in india, mp ,bhopal

Man's knowledge is limited. So we cannot be sure whether there exists any other beings inside universe.Ofcourse there is a finite probability that there exists another sun and earth with all ideal surroundings so that another form of life may evovle..may be in another form.Maybe advnced or maybe primitive.
Universe is a very large phenomenon for man to encompass.Let us wait and see

Its not necessary that life must exist on planets with earth-like atmosphere only. The universe is infinitely vast so there can be planets out there with an atmosphere unfit for humans yet it can support life of different form even more intelligent than us.Life is found to thrive even in the deepest part of oceans -The Mariana Trench in the Pacific where earlier scientists believed it to be impossible as there are volcanic vents on the ocean floor with v.high temperatures & tremendous pressure.

I'd like to draw your attention to a news in The Times Of India;Mumbai edition dated 7th march 2006,Tue:"DID IT RAIN ETs IN 2001?".It was a news from London by Mr. Micheal Hanlon(Daily Mail). In mid-monsoon that year 'blood'rained in the South Indian State of Kerala-brilliant vivid red-color it was.The last fall was reported on Sept.23rd,2001.the report says"On a July afternoon,50 tons of alien life forms had fallen 4m the skies coating everything in sight with trillions of ET microbes.Mr.Godfrey Louis,a physicst at the Mahatma Gandhi Univ.in Kottayam(Kerala ;S.India)has studied the rain.He thinks it to be alien-life & is getting a paper published. He deducted that the particles causing the color were definitely not sand or grains of desert dust-instead they are rounded rather than angulur.Nor do they seem to be pollen or lichen pores.Under the microscope they resemble as mammalian red-bloodcells-tiny discs, about 6 to 8 micrometers wide. How 1000s of gallons of mammalian blood can get into thunderclouds is an most bizzare scenario & an unlikely 1 involving explosion of an meteor mid-air admist a flock of bats. Its possible, says Godfrey Louis that a meteor hit the atmosphere & exploded ,showering the air & clouds below with billions of micro-organisms that had originally come 4m outer-space.

obviously not .. the universe is too big for us to be the only ones living in there

A few months back there was an experiment conducted where a huge gas balloon was sent high up in the atmosphere from somewhere in South India & certain microbes were discovered at that great height where in reality or scientifically they shouldn't have been there as accg.to the present-day science no life must exist at such a gr8 height. It is speculated that they must have reached there from an asteroid or an meteorite brushing the earth,s upper atmosphere. The findings have been sent for testing to a lab. in U.K. & the reports are awaited.
