Yesterday I put up a photo of Vince's coffee mug. This photo is of one of my favourites. For some years now I have had a set of six of these mugs, plus sugar bowl and creamer. Vince bought them for me as a birthday gift and I've always loved them. Although they are ceramic, they have quite a fine rim.
I love the shape of the mug too. I mostly bring them out when we have visitors. I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's coffee mugs. I hope I'll see a few more before something else takes our fancy.

I don't think you'd call it stoneware. The mugs are made from clay on a potter's wheel then fired in a kiln.

@JudyEv yes ma'am, they take the heat. i'd made some cozies fer 'em (to keep the contents warm whilst not burnin' my fingers, lol) 'n the young'uns seem to've run off with 'em all. there aint no place 'round these parts (closest 'tis 250 miles one way) that'll take glass anythin'.

@crazyhorseladycx Once you've been able to recycled something once, it makes it harder next time just to throw them out.

It is pretty much a standard size. It's not huge.

We went to see the Bayeux Tapestry when we were in France last year. It was so interesting.

I really like the shape of the mug. Very cool where they came from and your husband picked great ones. I have a lot of mugs and to many of them are ones I love using, so not sure about my favorite.

The colour is very natural looking. Vince bought them from a pottery near Perth.

It really is one of my favourites. I love bringing them out when we have someone over for coffee.
