Short cut turned into a Long wait!!!

I took my usual route to office that day, i had even reached halfway and was just a few miles away from office..
I dont know what struck my mind and i took a short cut, which i will never do it again,
.
Road Blocked! under construction and traffic as well.
To save 5 minutes i underwent 20 minutes late to office.
Its since then i learnt not to take unknowing shortcuts and always keep 10-15 mins spare time.
Most of you must have fallen into such situation! am i right??

Yes i believe that is why we should always keep spare time for such absurd situation
