Friends are very important for our mental well being - and I am not talking about fake friends here.
I mean the kind of friends you know will always be there for you, better yet if the friendship goes as far back as your childhood.
We all need someone to laugh with, to cry with, to share with - it is a part of human nature. Those blessed with real friends are said to live longer happier lives.
Do you have a real friend or friends?

I have had some best friends in the past but but they all moved away and I lost contact. For most of my later adult my best friends have been my mom, sisters and husband

I have many friends that I have had since I was 9 years old and I am now 75. We have grown up together and went our own ways through the years but when we can we still get together. I was lucky enough to be in charge of my 50th class reunion and had almost 300 people there that I went to school with most of my life. I have about 20 of them as very close friends.

Yes, I have real friends and they are always at my side when I need help or I need someone to talk to. I call them my "barkada" - a term in Filipino which means friends that is like your family already. I am happy already with them.
