Good morning.I had a very good game this morning in my tennis.
Keep in mind that we play doubles and not singles.
The dinner was great yesterday. The only problem was the conversation.
All they talked about politics and of course.Trump.
This was going on and not sure that it is rude but interrupt the conversation and saying.Look Trump won no sense in complaining he will be there for four years.
The democrat lost.So let it be,They quiet down.Whew! not sure what they say about me when I left. But do not give a darn.We are supposed to enjoy our dinner.

I'm not a Trump fan so talking about him at all is something I prefer not to do any time any day. I would have just said, "Let's talk about something different for a change."

I don't think you were wrong. It used to be frowned upon to talk about certain things while eating or at the table & politics was one of those things. I don't want to listen to people argue when we are supposed to be enjoying a nice meal together.

Not at all! Politics is a big no, no during the meals. That must be some scene when you said that.

I think you did the right thing, though not many people like to listen to the right thing. I agree that no matter we like it or not, it's the fact and we can't change anything, so it's actually good for us to enjoy the time being together. But of course, some people think differently. What they want to say behind you, it's up to them, we can't control that too, so just enjoy yourself!

no, sometimes a topic gets tedious and a change of subject does no harm

No you were not wrong in what you said. I am sure you wanted to enjoy your meal and not talk about Trump.

Talk about politics gets old after a while. I think it was okay to say what you did. But, until the Electoral College votes Trump is not really elected. Clinton is actually ahead in the popular vote by over 2 million and more to be counted. There will be a recount in Wisconsin and perhaps in two other swing states. He may yet (I hope) be thwarted.

I don't think you were wrong at all. They can carry on with the conversation if they want to after you've gone.
