Lady of the night

With heels up high and stretched black skirt
The lowly girl sets out to work
A fiver here, a tenner there she doesn't have the heart to care
She is thrust against a wall, with no care for her soul
Life is being to take its toll
For if she dies tonight who would care.
No-one, because no one's there
With heels up high and painted face
That poor girl is lost without a trace.

Yes it is mine... I wrote it three years ago when a friend of mine was going through a rough patch in life. It needed to be hard hitting to make her understand that what she was doing and the choices she made were dangerous and reckless. I hold my friendship with people very close to my heart as I don't have many friends.
