~God Is Teaching Me Patience Again~

Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well today. =) I am sure like most of us God has tried to teach me the easy way...but since I am impatient and hard headed I have to learn things over and over again. I have been wanting to move into our new home for a couple weeks now. I feel like I have been more than patient-but God doesn't agree with me. There have been a couple setbacks on the new house. We are waiting for toilets to come in and more paint as well for my husband to finish the whole house. This is completely out of anyone's control-except for God's of course. So I figure He must be trying to tell me to SLOW DOWN and it will happen. I have my reasons for wanting the house NOW though! (Don't we always try to justify our impatient ways?) Oh well, I need to remember God is in control. This move is going to happen soon, I just need patience until it does. Whether it's this week or next, I'm just grateful we have a roof over our heads while we wait-some people aren't so lucky. Did I mention I am also driving my husband INSANE by asking him every single day if the house is ready yet and if we can move in yet? Yup, another reason I need to slow my roll. But in my defense my husband also keeps telling me the wrong day! When my husband pulls into the driveway with the U-haul that will be the day we are moving and I need to leave it at that... I will be working on this whole patience thing and trust that God has this all in His hands. I might need some reminders though... If you could kindly pray for my patience level-that would be awesome!

Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait. I guess you are simply waiting for that U-hall to pull into your driveway. Lol!

@DianneN Lol, yeah I am trying not to focus on it all so much today. I will step back and enjoy the day and whatever happens. =)

Patience can be hard to learn. I have a hard time with it, some days. It's not easy, but I'm sure you'll get there. You're not alone with having a hard time with patience.

@dodo19 Yeah some days are harder than others, some things are harder than others. I have a ton of patience with kids and people in general-but when it's something I want to happen-not so much.

@LovingMyBabies I can understand. Hopefully, you don't have to wait much longer to move into your new place.

Patience takes time to acquire. If it was instant it wouldn't be patience. We must learn to be content and even joyful with what has been given to us. Life runs much more smoothly when we learn to be content, sometimes that is even more important than patience. It all about the journey....not the destination. If you waste your life yearning for the next thing to happen, you don't appreciate the things you have in the here and now.

"If it was instant it wouldn't be patience." Nice way of putting it. Impatience is never a good thing. I have learned that but must still remind myself at times to be patient.

@Morleyhunt Your absolutely right, contentment is a huge part of being patient for new things. I do struggle with that at times as well, clearly. Thank you for that reminder! =)

There is also the saying 'be careful what you wish for' so yes, try to be patient and content for the moment with the way things are. All in good time. :)

They say that Patience is a Virtue and I think we all know why. It can be so darned difficult. You're having problems with patience because you care so much and you want to get going. So that means it's time to really get into something else and stay busy with that so that when it's really time to move, maybe you'll have trouble extricating yourself from something else! lol

@CRK109 That is the truth! It is so hard some days and with some things! But I know I should be enjoying the home we are in while we are here. I'm grateful we have a roof over our heads-some people don't. I am going to work on having fun today with the kids and getting some MyLotting done. =)

Take it easy, enjoy the life that God had gave us, be joyful of what the Lord has done. I pray that God grant you the serenity to accept the things we can not change. Accepting hardship as a path way to peace taking as what jesus did... smile

I will pray for you. You've got a lot going on, I know. Sometimes I think I've been patient and then I realize in the grand scheme of things I really don't.

You need to be more patient than you actually are. It is said that "man proposes and God disposes." You should wait for things to complete, before you move to your new house. Our prayers and best wishes are with you.

I'm praying for your patience, but just a reminder, when we ask for something it's " in His time not ours"

I can imagine that this must be a little frustrating, especially with the kids and most of your stuff is packed, but it has to be hard on your hubby too-and who can survive without toilets? Yikes, not me! So, plug away my friend, eventually, like you said, he'll pull into your driveway with the trailer to pile everything into and off you'll all go.

@Juliaacv Yes it is, but I have to realize things will move along in the right time. =) Nope-we definitely cannot live without toilets. Lol Yeah I know right now it feels like forever but before we know it, it's going to happen.

@LovingMyBabies I have a feeling that before too long you'll be up to your neck in boxes in the new house and wishing that you were still waiting for the word!

I am also waiting to move. Thanks for the reminder to be patient, it made me feel a bit better about our situation here :)

@HAPPSINGH Five of us live in a single wide 40 year old mobile home. It is too small for us, and it's falling apart and we can't afford to fix it. We are currently on the list for low income housing, but we have to wait our turn. It could take a couple months, or it could take a year. The apartment that we applied for though, will have four bedrooms :) , so all of the kids will get their own room, and the girls won't be sleeping in our bedroom anymore. They can keep their toys in their rooms, and not in the living room, as is the situation now. I can't wait! I'm really excited for this move.

I don't blame you at all. Who would not want to shift into a new house. Leave God alone and get on with your impatience. You have a right to be impatient

I think you have lots of patience with your children. So you just have to have patience to wait to move into the house. I will sy a prayer for you. And before you know it. You will be moved into the new house.
