Hi everybody, I am a french musician. I try to compose some music with the vocaloid technologie. Vocaloids are virtual singer (male and female), and we can use them like a synthetiser. Do you think that people in the world is ready to listen this kind of music ?
There are already some virtual concert with Hatsune Miku (look on youtube).
I have also already written 2 songs with these virtual singer (in japanese and spanish).
Give me your opinion ;) Thanks a lot

This technology is rather old, and numerous improvements were made. Come out that there is now a French virtual singer who is called Alys. her designers even registered her on the Eurovision song contest. ;) Just wait and see ;)

Yes @Kandae11 , it's also a generation problem I think. I have heard some parents (I am a parent ;) )telling their childrens that this kind of music (or concert) is not a real thing. It's virtual. Maybe, is it too modern to be understood and accepted ....

@lascience Some of the accomplishments in this generation we would not have dreamed of years ago. We may not like every change - but it will happen nonetheless.

I don't think people are ready for this, but I think it's neat.

We are limited still not enough in the music styles which we can make with vocaloids. The rap for example is not possible. The phrasing is difficult to make. For the moment, I content myself with singing. But another difficulty is very present: it is necessary to manage to translate texts into Japanese. The majority of vocaloids are Japanese ;)
