You should give it a try. I am trying to write my story, with a fictional edge. They call it creative fiction, lol. It is hard, especially if you have had to deal with lots of trauma in your life. I get "hung up" often. Let me know if you change your mind.

I am currently writing a book about an individual with an unusual psychiatric illness. It's fiction, but the illness itself and the experiences I am "creating" are not uncommon to those with the illness. Beyond the category of "fiction", however, I don't know what it would fall under. It's not "horror" or "romance", for example...is there such a thing as "drama" when it comes to literature? That would probably be the best description...

She's a good inspiration, her books have been very successful, not to mention TV shows, movies, etc. There's plenty of competition out there for the children/young adult/ family market; until I worked in publishing I couldn't have believed just how many children's books are published each year...

I loved the little house on the prairie books. I probably read them a couple of times for book reports and other assignments.

I am a writer also. I write mostly historical romance. I also write poetry, short stories, and articles. Writing is my passion and my dream. I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder. You have a great inspiration.
