Oh My! What Will I Do Now?

Three weeks ago , I was happy because I noticed that my tummy has flattened .
For two weeks , I only have an apple and just drink lots of water for dinner .
Then , when December started , parties also started .
December 08 , was the unexpected invitation from the big boss .
Last Friday , hubby and I took out some Chinese foods and celebrated my birthday at home and I can’t resist eating my favorites .
My tummy has become protruding again. Oh my!
Our Christmas party will be on the 16th and I have started the apple diet again just last night to at least look good on that day .
However , I will be late birthday treating for dinner my co-auditor , tonight, after our dismissal .
Then on Wednesday , will be the Christmas party with my high school batchmates
. Friday , will be our office party and there are more parties to come because some batchmates will be coming home from abroad .
Gosh , I think there’s no way , I can trim my tummy again this December . But I will try .
Are you having the same problem as me ?

Hum...Yes I know how it feels. I don't like having a big tummy too. It is the reason that I avoid drinking sodas. They said that we should have less rice intake as well. But, there are really times that it is good to eat a lot and just ignore that it will make you bloat.

I drinks and eats, but sad to say my stomach still sinks. Sad to say they did not make us equal just gave us different advantages. If that makes sense at all. I think it does and chose to go this route because my brain works different also.

@crossbones27 But at least when one is thinner when older , you are far from getting high blood , high cholesterol and gout . Unlike when you become fatter .

Oh i envy you . Maybe because i am old and you are young so my metabolism is already slow .
WHen i was until my i gave birth at 31 , i was skinny , i like to get flesher . I did get it after giving birth and love it , but when i got 50 , it is as if every food i take would add fat into my body .

@SIMPLYD - I am glad to hear that you liked my advice.
Yes, you could enjoy your parties in December, without bothering about your tummy or weight gain. Once you are done with party season, you could again start your apple diet or say restricted diet.

Yes, that is true , but i guess you are not as old as i am , so getting bigger is understandable .
Funny , but you know i fear eating anymore because i think it might make my tummy protruding .
I am generally not fat , in fact i am of slim built but it seems the fat always goes to my tummy and my hips .

I'll tell you a secret to have a flat stomach :) When you eat your meal, always have a glass of cold water by your side and drink as much water as you can as you put a spoonful of food in your mouth. With this, I can even drink as much as 3 glasses of water during my meal :) In this way, you have eaten less because the water will make you full.

Oh no , @sunrisefan i won't do that . I would like to savor the deliciousness of each food . I just would eat in moderation , but will have a taste of all the foods. I am a foodies you know . But i won't eat rice anymore .
Rice is only for lunchtime , because i need energy at work .
Good luck to me .

I have given up trying this time of year because I know it isn't going to happen so I will wait until after the holidays are over and then I will get back on track again. There are just too many temptations and parties to go to this time of year.

So you too ? I think you are still so young to get fat easily .
But anyway , yes ,it did help . Though my hubby's auntie said , it might make my tummy acidic , i still did it because i didn't feel that way . And when i stopped because is just want my stomach to flatten , and begin eating rice for dinner i started getting fat on my tummy again .

That's easy to say , but hard to do , specially when i see the delicious foods .
Though , i know i should just be avoiding eating rice now .
December is time for parties and it only comes once a year so i might as well enjoy the foods that way - no rice .

It is hard to stick to a diet with so many parties to attend to... I only know one person who would still stick to her diet even during the holidays season... I've seen her attend parties and still having a good time talking to everyone without eating anything there...

@SIMPLYD I cannot go to a party and not eat anything. I would prefer to stay back at home otherwise.
What is the point of party when you cannot taste good food and everyone aroind you is simply enjoying it.

Well, when you are young , you have a high metabolism . But when you grow older like me , it will slow down and every food seems to make you fat .
Actually i am skinny until College , when i got a bit fleshier or sexy as they call me . Then , after giving birth at 31 , i became fleshier but i like it because i am a bit voluptuous .
You will have your time when you will be a bit fleshier .

@SIMPLYD Yeah.. I can't hardly wait. Ever since, I am skinny. Before they told me, when I get married it's time for me to become fat. I've waited, until I get pregnant. Nothing happens I feel like, I became skinnier
