Winter Wonderland

This morning we have a scene outside that is very different from the last few days. We have a winter wonderland scenery. It is beautiful to look at, I must admit this but the mess that it is creating is not so lovely. We are going to go out and shovel soon, that will take a lot of energy, after that I am sure that we will be pretty flat in the energy bank for the rest of the day. Were you hit by a big snowfall last night?

Our snow actually began 24 hours earlier and finished last night. We have 25-30 cm of snow. And it looks pretty, but its not very nice to drive in. All school buses have been cancelled for our region.

The snow is beautiful if there is someone who takes care to shovel the snow. We have no snow for the moment.

@marlina There is snow in the skiing stations, but not here in the south. I do not complain, I like to see everything covered with white, but it's a mess to clean.

It looks beautiful, but I am much more happy looking at my palm trees. Don't overdo the shoveling!

I am convinced that you are happier to look at your palm trees right now. Personally, I have never liked the look at palm trees but my husband loves them. I much prefer evergreens.

@marlina Palms remind me of Paradise, sun, water, and flowers. We have many Royal Palms down here to enjoy. I only have one evergreen in my yard at home. It was given to me while teaching by another teacher, who oddly enough, moved to Florida permanently. We planted it for our dog at the time. It has grown strong and tall, and reminds us of him every time we look at it.

I prefer to have that snow seen from my kitchen window and not from the front room as that one we have to shovel.

It sure does look pretty messy. Stay safe. The area I live in does not experince snowfalls, but the regions where it does happen remain cut off from the rest of the country for many days.

I m living in a place where the temperature goes up to 48 degree in summer and it remains here for almost 6 month. For rest of the year we enjoy winter and spring season. In winter, temperature gets decreased to 4 degree. No Snowfall. Never saw snowfall in my life but i would love to see it.

It doesn't snow often here. So when it does, it's special and the town sort of shuts down. So I love it! I know it must be hard to live in heavy snowfall all winter. Beautiful picture.

We got about half the promised snow. I heard rain earlier, but when I took the dog out at 6:30 it was dry and there was no wind to speak of. By noon most of the snow could be gone again.
