Somebody Was Parked In My Parking Spot.

I live in a condo. I came home from work, picked up my dogs, and then went to the dog park. When I got home, there was somebody parked in my parking spot. I was mad! I first parked in front of them, and waited, and blew my horn. I got tired of waiting so I went and parked in visitors. Then I left a note on their windshield. Pretty polite. Please don't park in this spot. Please park in visitors. Then I got madder. I sent an email to my condo people because they didnt' answer the phone. I was in the middle of writing bi-law about it, then they moved. I didn't see them go, but you know what? If they do it again. I know where the form is to fill it out so they get ticketed and towed. I am happy I left a note, because if it happens again, I will make sure to go right to the bi-law and file a complaint and they can come and tow and ticket the car. Do you think that was the right thing to do? What would you do?

I feel you did the right thing. Me and my ex had this happen before we came home from vacation had a car in our assigned parking spot and come to find out it was stolen so it was towed away.

I think you handled it well. The note was a good warning and now they know better.

I don't blame you for being indignant - I would have left my car parked bang in front of them so they couldn't get out.

I actually did do that for a bit, but I felt bad, then went out and sat in it, and blew my horn a bit. You'd think somebody would say..oh a horn..maybe it's the person who I stole the spot from. Next time, if they do it again, they are getting a ticket.

Of course, you were right. You are paying for this parking spot.
