Companies Take Advantage of Christmas and New Year

December 14, 2016 12:10am CST
Well there is nothing wrong in acting smart. Right? Many big companies, shops, film director know that people around the world are excited around the time (25th December to 1st January) and they will pass their time to shop, get entertainment and get huge discount for putting so much money into it. And none of the company will like their competitor to gain more number of customers. After all, by giving huge discount, they know they are not in loss because they have tripled their customers who will return to shop from them even when there isn't any big festival. What do you think? Do you also think they are doing the right thing?

Businesses are just about profit...it is in their nature. They don't even see it in terms of right and wrong.

Festivals are the time when businesses make more money and customers spend more. By targeting products to the festive shoppers, businesses make money.

Lots of Christmas promotions are oversell actually, and the stores might take this opportunity to clear old stock. I don't think there is a right or wrong but as consumers, just be smart and don't fall into the trap of buying too much or unwanted stuff.

This is a strange question. A business person must make profit to survive. You can't blame individuals, you can only blame the capitalist system.
