We all love to laugh because it is said that laughter is the best medicine. There are many of us who just give a smile, when they hear something funny or humorous, some of us give a light laughter and some of us give a roaring laughter, without bothering who is around us.
In which category would you keep yourself, do you believe in just smiling or you laugh out loud, hearing a funny joke or anecdote?

@dpk262006 I usually smirk to myself when I think of something funny, usually to my own amusement. I usually laugh out loud when it was something funny said by someone..
But my threshold for laugh is quite high

@amitkokiladitya - It is good to know that you don't mind laughing out loudly and probably when you laugh out loud you don't mind who all are around you. Laughter is the best bet to de-stress ourselves and I believe that we should not miss any opportunity to laugh.

@amitkokiladitya - I do not miss any opportunity to laugh specially when I am at home. I love humor and jokes and do not miss any occasion to share jokes with others.
Sometimes I keep laughing and laughing on a funny anecdote and my wife would say - Have you gone crazy, you are laughing and laughing?
In office, if people are around me, I go for restricted laughter.

A good laughter is a therapy and can do miracles. When we laugh our body release endorphins Hormone which helps us to relieve from pain. Laughter improves our mood.
I laugh loud.

It is great to know that you laugh out loud. When you laugh out loud do you care about people around you?

@Bodyandbrain Of course when we laugh .....laughter comes to us spontaneously and normally we don't control it
However, some people become conscious and restrict their flow of laughter, when they feel there are many people around them.

I like to think I'm of both categories - I smile and laugh A LOT. I don't even know how to hold back laughter - if it's funny, it's my instant reaction to laugh . . . and laugh hard to the point of tears if it's truly that hilarious.

The way you interact here on mylot I also hold the same view that you laugh out a lot in real life and you love to laugh on the slightest provocation.
If you cannot hold back your laughter, it is good because the more we laugh, more positive we feel.
So keep laughing.

To me, laughter is like a sneeze or cough . . . nearly impossible to hold it in .

So when you hear a funny joke, you do not mind laughing out loud. Actually, laughter is contagious, if we see others laughing (who are around us) we also start laughing. Apparently, your office colleagues are jovial and full of humor and you get plenty of opportunities to laugh.

Yes, you are right that laughter is the best medicine. Tickling someone could generate lot of laughter not only for the targeted person but the person who is tickling.
In our childhood, we used to tickle our friends.
