Ta-Da! The Tree is Up!

I have decorated my tree and it is sitting in the lounge. It looks a bit odd perhaps, a bit lop-sided but it is what it is and I am what I am and never the twain shall meet! Where on earth did that come from? I haven't even had my glass of wine yet!
I like bringing out my ornaments. I have several that were gifts. Each of our son's photos are in a little gold frame with 'Merry Christmas' round the edge. There is a dove with a sprig of olive in its beak, a very pretty little china bell, a Belleek cross and an ornament from Canterbury Cathedral based on the ceiling vault of Bell Harry Tower. The screed that is in the box with the ornament says the tower was finished externally in 1498 and internally in 1503. Canterbury Cathedral was the first cathedral in England.

I suppose it does a bit doesn't it? Do you like the chocolate box star? I am so frugal sometimes but I made it on my own when Vince was away. I'm not into spending on stuff that will be used for a few weeks and really we're the only ones who will see it - apart from my myLot family!

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I had to cover up all the netting hence the tinsel all over it.

It is a unique tree!Do you set it up for Christmas? What interests me is that there is a china bell on it.

Yes. I made the cone from plastic netting so I needed the tinsel to cover the netting. A couple of the ornaments are a little bit more expensive than the usual balls and are made of china. There is also photographs of our sons who live many miles away in Melbourne and Ireland.

@changjiangzhibin89 I'm sure mostly pine-trees are used but some people in Australia might use something else.

It's quite unique from the usual Christmas tree I see. Interesting decorations.

I am so pleased you like it. I thought it was a bit 'ordinary' to start with but I feel better about it now. :)

I've never seen a tree decorated like that but it's very pretty. Are there lights on it? My tree goes up tomorrow, I have to get it out of the storage shed today.

We have lights to go on it but there is only us here and the tree can't be seen unless we actually have people in the room so there doesn't seem much point in putting the lights on. We will be spending Christmas in another (Australian) state so we won't bother with the lights.

Where are the bells. Where are the balls and where is the angel, the lights - the works?
Originality is the name of the game I say

@JudyEv You have less work to undo the tree which is quite a headache with countless bells, balls the works

There are some bells but they are difficult to see against the tinsel. We have some lights but there is only us here and I worry a bit about lights - and there is no angel. Apart from that it is a perfectly normal Christmas tree.
