~Things Changed Again~

Our Tree
Valdosta, Georgia
December 21, 2016 11:40am CST
Hey everyone! As you see from the picture our tree is up. =) My husband went to our new house last night and the landlord was there. He said I'm so sorry but there's no water pressure because there's a kink in the plumbing line somewhere... The water company is now trying to figure out what's going on with it today. Yet another set back. It's okay, we will be in the new house before or by January 1st. At least it didn't happen while we were there... Christmas will be celebrated in this house and the New Year will be in our new home-I hope and pray!

Wow, talk about your set-backs. You have had your fair share. But, once you are in your new home you'll soon forget about all that had happened before you moved.

@LovingMyBabies it would have been worse if it happened when you moved in the house! I worry so much about what can happen here if we don't get some essential repairs done. Hubby keeps putting them off and they only get worse. Hoping they hold out until spring.

@Elusivebutterfly Yeah there have been quite a few, but we are glad it happened now rather than when we are moved in the house.

So sorry to hear this I hope they find the problem and fix it soon. At least you know it will be after or before new year. Would be nice if you could be in by the 1st so you could bring in the new year in your new place.

I love the white Christmas tree! When I first got married, my wife and I picked out a beautiful white tree for our first tree together! But we went with all blue and silver decorations, since she was a big Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan (both teams have blue and white and/or silver as their team colors). I thought it looked beautiful, just as your tree does!

@moffittjc Thank you! Last year we did blue, white and silver so this year we changed it up. Every year we do different colors. =) I love the Yankees too! Next year we will probably go with purple and silver.

@LovingMyBabies Yay! I'm glad you are a Yankees fan! I'm a big Yankees fan myself. I like the idea of purple and silver, sounds like it will be beautiful next year. My daughter is a huge fan of purple, so she would probably love your decorations next year!

At least now you know that you can decorate and prepare for Christmas without having to worry about moving before Christmas. It is only a few days away and that would have been a lot of stress to move, unpack, prepare for Christmas, etc. The tree looks beautiful. I love it!

@Happy2beme That's how I'm feeling about it, at least we have a better plan now. And it will save us a lot of work around Christmas. It might be better this way. =)

@LovingMyBabies They will work out wait and see even if everything is hectic and upside down at the moment. I always wait every year for the Big Christmas Tree in the Rockerfeller Centre to see it light up love it. People I know from where I lived said they have been there and its awesome. Hugs.

We moved into our new home just a few days before Christmas and planted a Christmas tree in the garden to commemorate the occasion. That was 8 years ago and it is big and beautiful now. I hope you get your wish for the New Year.

@LovingMyBabies pick a tree with roots, ours has its own pretty decorations when the ends of the branches grow bright new tips. You could make it the first tree you plant when you move in.

@LovingMyBabies No problem. A tree lying on its side is at least an original solution and easier to decorate!

@andriaperry I love white trees. =) We have always done white-but we change the color scheme each year. Last year we did silver and blue. Next year I want to do purple and silver ornaments and garland.
