My, Those Heels are High!

We are home again after getting in to Perth, Western Australia, last night about 7pm. As we didn't really want to drive home in the dark, we stayed with night with Vince's brother and his wife. It was nice to share time with them and we left this morning arriving home about midday. While in Melbourne, Victoria, we stayed at an AirBnB. We had a bedroom/lounge with ensuite on the ground floor of a warehouse that has been converted to units. Upstairs was the host's lounge and kitchen which we were free to share, and their bedroom. More stairs took us to a rooftop area from which there was quite a nice view over the city. The entry was through a locked door on the street into a tiny hallway. A very solid wooden door with iron fastenings led to our room. It seemed the 'lady of the house' obviously didn't like going up the staircase in her high heels as four pairs of shoes were lined up just inside the door. I am amazed that anyone could wear such high heels. I wonder if she will have back problems in later years.

I couldn't walk in those either. But maybe I'll get some like these and line them up at my door to impress people. :)

I wore heels that high and still do at times. No back pain or problems. No foot problems either.

These are really high heels. I can't wear high heels. If I ever wear them, my feet have to have a rest for a week. Wearing high heels are sexy and pretty, but they are not suitable for me. Feeling comfortable is still much more important for me.

l also wonder why there are women who wear very high heels and can manage. I can't. I believer it will affect their posture in the long run

You'd think continual use of such shoes would have an affect on a person's posture.

@JudyEv That is not too bad.I would break mine just after two steps.(that is if I do not fall down as soon as I put the shoes on.)

Permanent use of high heels may cause back pain but some ambitions and desires never get back pain. I think the lady of the house loves it so much.

I would venture a guess at yes, she will. I've never been able to wear heels. My shoes are flat.

@JudyEv The last time I wore heels I was in the Navy. They issue a pair. Thankfully they weren't high, but reasonable.

@JudyEv I can see why she didn't want to go up stairs with those. She probably would have fallen down. I just do not understand how people can wear those. Me, I prefer flat to the ground shoes or maybe a tiny heel.

@judyev My mother is always admonishing my daughters for wearing impossible heels and attributes her crippling back agony to wearing stupid shoes when young. And just to be clear, I trust it was only your host's kitchen you got to share and not their bedroom.

High heels are not good for the spine. ..or the feet either. Human legs were never meant to be bent that way...it causes damage on the area carrying all the weight.
