Valentine's Day gifts and goodies available now in a store near you!

Although the last day of 2016 is not here yet, you no doubt saw Valentine's Day candy, cookies, cards and more in stores near you. It is funny how quickly the "holidays" are shoved on us. If you celebrate New Year's Eve, you can go directly into Valentine's Day without the blink of an eye. The photo here was taken by me before a previous Valentine's Day. Most we know are not interested in another holiday at the moment.

Oddly enough valentines was never among my list of important holidays.

So very true @41CombedaleRoad retailers take the meaning out of all celebrations, it's no wonder so many younger folks have no clue about the true meaning behind any of them.

Nor mine but it is a money spinner and that is all that counts in the commercial world.

I don't consider Valentine's Day to be a holiday - It's not like you have off from work for it LOL.

You can put me in that category too, I do not want to think about anything right now. I am just going to relax.

Yes, it really is. It is our parents anniversary, so we will celebrate that and skip the icky chocolate things.

Valentine's Day was never an Australian thing but it is becoming more and more so. The stores don't want to miss out on possible revenue, no matter what the reason.
