THE CHANGING FACE AND LOST LOVE

Changing faces are like changing seasons; Blowing hot, then cold - whatever the reason. In relationships the changing face surfaces quite a lot; You try your best, but cannot hold on to what you've got. The changing face can go from loving to mean; Hard, unbending, the coldest you've ever seen. No more sensuous hot summer nights; No words spoken before you turn off the lights. You notice the change when summer runs into fall; Winter arrives -- and you face a brick wall. Breaking through the ice is no easy task; Dashed hopes, this relationship is not going to last. The cold silence is the hardest to bear; You tell yourself, you won't shed a tear. Did you see it coming? who is to blame? An icy blast of reality - some things never remain the same. A Kandase original.

Beautifully written and a very sad story. I enjoyed your prose. I feel like a lucky woman reading that, I have a love that has lasted over 50 years.

Fifty years!. Congratulations, that is so wonderful. They say - "marry in haste" - which I did and "repent at leisure" which I did not - my marriage lasted exactly two months and I never tried it again.

Great poem .....when its over its over. When its over its over Love was but a rover Merely a changing face That took over your space You know it was not true Yet memories invade in the things you do.

Great, I like it. When its over its over, but the memories will be hard to get rid of.

I can feel the sadness and the inevitable breakup. So sad. Is this your life's experiences?

I really liked this writting... you are very good with words. It made me really think of how this relates to my marriage and how change is just that it happens and there is sometimes just nothing you can do to stop it or change it. Be strong carry on and not shed a tear

Thanks. I feel very strongly about the emotions people go through in everyday life, and I try to express it in writing.
