Life after death

What happens to the soul after it has left the body ? Does it acquire another body or is transferred to another world? What does a soul experience after its body is dead?

As much I know soul transfer one body to another because soul is immortal but it's not happen in some cases those people get moksh.

in a logical way our soul does not transfer to another body the new soul will come because at the initial stage of human life we are some people only then how this whole population came.
