Is your phone the first thing, you see in the morning?

I had this habit of looking at my phone just after i opened my eyes. I would check my mails and messages before stepping out of the bed. But i have changed it, as i felt it's not a good habit for me. Now i touch my phone only once i am ready to leave for work, and mostly check them on my way to work. What about you?

@SIMPLYD As far as I understand you do not need to check your mobile for alarm, alarm tune automatically goes on and it wakes you up. Do you check the mobile to see your messages once alarm goes on?

I am not so desperate so as to look up at my phone, once I wake up in the morning. I know notifications, messages and mails are safe and intact in mobile, even if I do not check it early in the morning. When I am ready for office and if I have time, I just check my phone quickly and if that is not possible, I check my phone on reaching office.

@shaynas We should not get too much addicted to our mobile phone, it could do more harm than good. Imagine the scenario - when there were no mobiles, we still used to enjoy our life better than today :D

This is a good habit, i know many people who need to check their phone before even opening their eyes fully. I used to be one of them and it wasted a lot of morning time and i stopped that.

Usually I see my alarm clock first, then my phone. Sometimes it is my phone that I see first because I also have alarms set on it as well.

I used to pick it up as soon as I woke up to check the time but now that I have my Fitbit I just look at my wrist for the time. I don't look at my phone anymore first thing in the morning. I now wait till I get out of bed, make my bed, use the restroom, brush my teeth, let the dogs out, and make myself breakfast.

I always check my phone first thing in the morning but its like I wake up, I get out of bed, my phone on my hand, brushing my teeth while and see if theres an emergency call or text, if no pressing matter in it i just drop put it aside and do my morning ritual... I dont like missing messages from my parents they are getting old.
