FRUSTRATED!

I wake up in the morning, feeling quite bright with lots of ideas running through my head. I put them on paper then head to mylot to post my first discussion for the day, But -- a little voice tells me to check the most recent discussions before posting mine -- and I am sure glad I listened. Another mylotter has already posted a discussion on the same topic I wrote about --and this has been happening religiously over the past week. What do you do when that happens? - discard your discussion ? save it for a future date? or post it anyway?

I usually don't post it or I wait a while until I post it.

I think that is the best way.

I'll go with post it anyway with the intention that more to the party is always better however if it happens in reverse that you post something and then someone else posts the same don't let it bother you? Go also to their post and contribute as well. See how the same topic can go in different directions?

@Kandae11 Oh, I've seen that happen lots of times too.

It won't bother me if someone posts on the same topic afterwards. What might bother me a teeny bit is if that person's post generates triple the amount of responses mine received

In the good old myLot there was a rule about repeated posts but here you can do it. So go full bang on. the Xmas and New year posts here ran into countless.

There is always a chance that topics can be doubly discussed . However , you have to think of ways to approach it in a different way ,

@Kandae11 That's okay . It's different because that's your own thoughts .

But suppose I liked it just the way I had presented it?

It does seem to happen that people post a lot of the same things. I suppose that will happen though when people are talking about the most recent news or seasonal things.

@Kandae11 We are all different though so each post is valid. I know I have read multiple posts which cover the same subject.

I think you should post it anyway, two or few minds, can think alike or can think on same topic! Or if you don't want to post it, be the part of that existing discussion, which you wanted to start from your end.
@Kandae11 (54986)
6 Jan 17
That is a workable solution -- being part of the discussion ( which should have been mine)I would then be able to make a greater contribution to it.

It's very possible more than one person will have a light bulb moment about a particular topic . . . but the posts themselves could be very different. I say go with it - it's your version of the story.

@Kandae11 It'll only happen if your post is exactly like the other post . . . which I know won't happen!

those complex bubba rules drove me crazy it won't happen with this post for who would ever think of writing a post with the same title as this one okay maybe possible

One time at Bubblews someone even had the same title I had chosen.

I don't check to see what is posted, I just post. Don't think it matters since they would all be different perspectives on the same topic.

Other ideas yes, - but after taking time to put something together, choosing the right picture etc-- and especially when one is on a tight schedule, starting all over can be frustrating.

I post first before I check anything else. It would be too disappointing if I see someone already posted before me but then Im new here. 90% of my posts will be same with someone one way or another. And i Cant keep on checking who did what because it will be discouraging. As long as im not copying any one else words or work Im fine if there was something similar with my posts.

I get plenty of ideas. What I am talking about here is taking the time to prepare the discussion and about to post - only to find that someone got there before with something similar.

I would post it anyway as no two posts are exactly like and we each connect with different people that would be interested in what we have to say.

Well, you can always make a new post. Our minds can go anywhere and imagine many things to write. Im sure it doesn't end there. For me, I just skipped it and wait for me to make new post.

Even if the same topic was used, every one has different opinions on how to say it. So I don't see why you can't write it.

I'd probably write it from a different angle, if it's really something I'm interested in. If I can't do that then I'll just come up with other things to write about.
