We went on a beautiful morning walk + PORTA POTTY!

United States
January 6, 2017 2:05pm CST
Happy Friday Everyone! Yesterday, was gloomy and rainy. The weather forecast estimated rain until the weekend, but I guess Mr. sunshine wanted to make an early appearance. My boyfriend and I went on a beautiful morning walk at the beach before going grocery shopping. The view was lovely! And speaking of porta potties - it was very crowded, and the only parking spot available was near the porta potties! Luckily it didn't smell today. Out of curiosity - do you visit the porta potties? Even if I have to go - I'll wait until another bathroom. They're not for me. How about you?

@infatuatedbby Oh, I used to live in one---it was quite convenient---I didn't have to get outta bed to go to the bathroom.

@infatuatedbby It wasn't easy, especially when visitors came unannounced.

If I'm drunk and really need to go, like at a concert, I use them. Otherwise, I try not to.

@infatuatedbby ....Weather is screwy all over. It is bad when the highlight of your day is when the porta potty doesn't smell bad.

Yes! The weather said it's supposed to be rainy until the weekend, but it was a nice even warm at one point too! :) And non smelly porta potties was a highlight! I guess because it wasn't too hot out!

I cannot possibly go either. Especially in the narrow box and not being able to see anything after I close the door and its smelly ... so many wrong reasons I can't =)

@LadyDuck Yep , not for me =) The facility needs to re-open their bathrooms though! They have actual bathrooms a couple feet away but I suppose they need fixing but its been out of service for over 3 years now.

Is that a photo you took on your walk by the beach? If so, you surely had a gorgeous view! As far as port-a-potties go, I'm a guy, so it doesn't bother me to use them. Well, at least for peeing. I would never use them for going number two!

Yes, its a photo I took =) The view is pretty! Hehe. YEAH for a guy it wouldn't bug you , but for number two, ehh I don't think you'd go in a port a potty =)

@infatuatedbby I'd only go #2 in a port-a-potty if it was an emergency and no other options were available. But mind you, I would never sit on their toilet seats. Only squatting for me! hahaha

I often use them but I choose the place. If the place is quite dirty I won't but if it's clean I will

Luckily I never had to use them. I would avoid any public toilet if I can. I'd prefer the bushes.

I try to avoid any public toilet if I could also. I used to have a phobia of using them and NEVER used them until I went to work and I couldn't hold it.

@Madshadi The first few months I worked there, I wasn't comfortable especially when I was on my menstrual cycle that on lunch break I'd drive home. My lunch was 30 minutes. It took me 7 minutes to get home, 7 minutes back. Then after awhile, I adjusted.

What are 'porta potties'? Public toilets? portable? I used one when we went to a remote beach side. It was chemically treated so there was no smell.

A bathroom that is portable, in this case it sat on the parking lot ... Here is an example:

I assume you mean toilets? I remember when I was holidaying in the US on a package holiday we all wanted to visit the loo. There were many lined up. All of us got in but no one knew how to pull the flush including yours truly. Then I experimented and told them how to. It was a beautiful sound when all flushes worked at the same time (lol)
