My friend is wondering if she has ghosts in her house. She said that something ripped her necklace off of her neck. Things have been moved around and left in strange places. Lights have turned off and on by themselves and water suddenly started running. I don't believe in ghosts but am perplexed as to why all these things are happening to her. She lives alone. Why do you think weird stuff is happening? Does she have ghosts or is there some other explanation? Have you ever had experiences you can't explain.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe in the supernatural - demons and angels. So yes, it might not be ghosts, but she could have a real problem going on in her home.

Should I be worried about what is going on? She is such a sweet person. She has several animals, cats, dogs, a bird, and a fish. I wonder if it could have anything to do with them?

@akalinus It's doubtful. Does she go to church or believe in God? If so you could pray with her to get rid of what I believe are demons.

@just4him I will discuss that with her. I think her dad was a preacher but I don't know what she believes.

That's very scary. I don't know if i'd be able to sleep in that house, especially not alone. I would bring someone who knows how to deal with those. Or read religious texts and see if it drives them away.

Ya, shared a house with similar happenings. Once they get used to you it's all good

Yes, Wendy, that is really true! Ghosts can also have a sense of humor, just like they did when alive. Some of them will play practical jokes on you and wait to see what you do when you get "caught". LOL! I wondered if you believed in ghosts or not. I think it is good that you do, especially as Ireland has so many haunted places. Were you able to interact with the ghosts? (The ghost I was talking about used to hide things from us or mess with us by moving stuff around to see how long it took us to notice.... Sometimes it was annoying because I wanted that glass rose to stay where I put it but he couldn't leave it alone!)

@DaddyEvil well, not really. I don't think they can just interact with everyone. I can sense them, and they can move things around me. but they can't interfere with me. I believe in the protection of the holy spirit, so ya no interactions such as chats etc.. I also have no desire to do so either. these spirits should move onto the next plane of existence already, the more they remain here.. well the more stuck they can get.. and that's not good news for them. our interactions with them, well, that actually stops them from "progressing" so no, no interactions

@DaddyEvil We have something or someone hide things all the time. My son and I can each search the same place ten times and not find it. Then it shows up exactly where it was in the first place that was searched over and over.

I believe in ghosts but I think it's pretty rare. Maybe there is an odd , but rational explanation

@FayeHazel Uhm... no, ghosts are not really that rare. The ability of a ghost to manifest and do physical things is rare, I will admit. Most people rationalize away the things ghosts do or when they see a ghost. The person doesn't believe in ghosts or thinks they are imagining things when they see a ghost.

@akalinus I would suggest asking the woman what she did just prior to the ghost pulling on the necklace and breaking it. It is possible she said or did something the ghost got angry about.... It is also possible the necklace reminded the ghost of one she owned when she was alive and thought your friend was taking it.

It is a little wild that something pulled a necklace off of her neck with such force that the necklace broke. That is eerie and scary.

My father used to tell a ghost story about one that appeared to his sister in public house. When the pub was renovated they found a skull in the attic. We used to love to hear that tale as kids.

Better get a priest or a pastor to cleanse that house. Maybe have her home video recorded first to see if she was telling the truth, she could be having hallucination at first. But if it's true, best to have that house cleanse.

@akalinus yeah that helps, I had a ghost in my old apartment and I had to do the same because it started off will small stuff like doors closing and lights turning on and off then became more aggresive by slamming doors at 2 am or 3 am and turning on 3 fauctes at a time during the night, it would even move the dining chairs and put them infront of our bedroom doors, really creepy stuff

I believe in ghosts and I've heard that objects moving to other places, lights turning off, and water running are signs of a spirit.

I do believe in ghosts.. Has your friend live in this house long? I was told that every time you live in a new place, you have to offer spirits fruits explaining to them that you are here in peace... We do the same every time we move to a new place.

@akalinus This is Asian thing. :) I remember one of my friends used to tell me the similar story when she first moved to a new place. Her son kept talking to an invisible friend and even introducing his mum (my friend) to that friend. Not only that, the lights were on and off and the tap was on... She did what I told her and every thing stopped. Good luck.
