Modesty aside, I've been doing Zumba three times a week. My reason? Simple. To get fit. But why am I not losing weight?
Way back, I became obsessed in joining zumba classes and early mornings of weekends, I walk with my friends at the plaza. This is to condition my body. Further, my body also is used to this kind of exercise.
But, I am not losing so much weight like what I would really like to achieve. I talked to the instructor and he explained to me that Its the healthy lifestyle that I should consider. And from then on, its what I am sharing to other people. That leading to a healthy lifestyle do not just shows how yhin you are. But how it is conditioning your body and making it healthy.

Exercise is great and I love zumba too but watching what you eat and making good food choices will let you lose weight. Good luck.

That's my problem, my body is used to exercising. In fact, I do a lot of sports activities. Like i play soccer, basketball, volleyball and badminton. But..... But i am a really good eater. I so love eating and I dont limit my food intake. That is why despite my heavy activities, i still dont lose weight.

@sweetshy714 i think if you're very active because of sports, not just zumba, then it's understandable. i think what matters more is that you're fit, strong, healthy, have energy, don't get sick easily.

@hereandthere because of my love for sports maybe that explains why i eat a lot. I need physical nourishment so that I can play nicely. While i need to limit my food inyake so that I stay fit but its so hard.

I go for zumba too but my main reason is because I just want to sweat. The thought of losing weight never cross my mind at all.
Judging from your photo, I think you look fit enough and you don't need any more weight loss.
Just cut down on the sugar intake, that should help if you want to lose weight.

zumba is a exercise which make ur body flexible and warmup ...but as u a women is considered zumba is more acceptable than weight-training because u dont actually want to develop muscle what u want is to be fit and active so zumba is good option .....for more weightloss concentrate on your diet yake more protien than fats

Very True.Considering the fact that any people are now on a race to just get slim and have the slimmest waist among their friends ,they just don't realize ow much they are depriving their body of nutrition by dieting.

@jayaharidas true. Plus our body lacks the necessary exercise which we need because of how we live our lives nowadays. All are being hooked up with our gadgets that even the simplest exercises are being forgotten.

I've noticed the same thing with friends who do Zumba - they don't really lose weight. But they sweat and that's a good thing. You may want to adopt a healthy eating regimen to go with your zumba activities. HTH.
