All We're Missing is the Fritos

For lunch today I prepared grilled cheese sandwiches - made with provolone cheese and pepperoni - and tomato soup. Sadly, we had to make due with potato chips because there are no Fritos Corn Chips in the house. Other than the chip substitution, it was the perfect lunch for a cold, snowy day.
The light snow that started falling earlier, after the sleet had coated everything with ice, seems to have stopped for good now, with no noticeable accumulation. I've seen one more car make the slow, careful way down the road in front of the house. Said road is still ice covered. As temperatures drop throughout the day, I imagine what little melting there has been will freeze right back up again.
I spread some ice melt on the front walk and up the driveway. I've no plans to try and shovel anytime soon. With luck, the sunshine and ice melt will take care of things for me.
I hope y'all are having a good Saturday.

That is what I am craving. I will have to make a grilled cheese and some soup. I like ham and Swiss cheese in mine and some tomato soup. I many just have some potato chips too. That sounds good.
Enjoy your Saturday.

At the risk of sounding ignorant. What is a Fritos Corn Chip. Is it a sweet potato chip? We had one day with 3% snow risk and now I do not think we will get any snow here in Oxfordshire at all. However, the roads are not great and very icy in the morning.

@CoralLevang That is kind. I do not think we get Fritos here although I may be wrong. They look a bit like tortilla chips.

Thank you, @CoralLevang, for explaining corn chips. I keep forgetting the chips/crisp thing. Another example of how the US and UK are two nations divided by a common language.

Just what I would have ordered for my Dinner too. But alas I had already made and eaten mine. Looks very yummy though with the chips or without them.
I would wait and see if the Sun melts it all away and save your strength if you can and why not?

DonĀ“t overdo it then. Cleaning snow can be tough the next day you might feel the effort. With me it takes me two days to feel the effort.
Wise to let the Sun do the work if you can.

@lovinangelsinstead21 From the look of things in my driveway, the sun has done a great job and there's nothing left for me to do.

I hope you didn't have any accidents due to the weather you're having. We're still having severe wind chills here. It's supposed to be better tomorrow.

I can't imagine driving in such conditions. With so many accidents and slides off roadways is car insurance expensive? Do you get lots of small bumps and bings from winter accidents?
