Bang! Crash! And No Sleep!

Canada
January 11, 2017 10:57am CST
Had my coffee, didn't do any wonders. Thanks to the construction people who decided to literally tear down the road outside of my apartment early this morning. I swear it's like they said to themselves, "Oh? This girl probably was up all night tossing and turning, let's just tear down the road exactly right in front of her balcony!" Ta-da! Goal achieved. I didn't sleep... Why must they come out so early?! On top of that, I couldn't flush the toilet, or wash my hands! No water! I guess with the cold we've had, the pipes bursted underground... Thankfully they are gone, and I have water again. I guess that's a plus. Just going to be a long day, of being overly tired. And naps....they never seem to help. I'll live, I think!

Waking up to drilling is a great sound. Music to my ears! I think they're the reason I have a headache lol, you'll live! It'll be okay!

You pretty much jumped out of bed when they started drilling into the ground. Was kind of funny, but until I realized it wasn't going to ever stop and I wasn't going to get any sleep. Wasn't too funny anymore! hah! Well thankfully tomorrow morning we most likely won't have to deal with that again, since I think they are officially done...

@x0MandyLynn0x Well, it sounded like a huge dental drill. In my half asleep state I probably thought I was being tortured by some evil dentist. Hopefully tomorrow morning is more peaceful.

Sorry that happened. There is nothing worse to disturb the sleep than Construction workers being loud with their work.

I hate when they do that. We had that problem a few weeks ago when a pump burst on the street in front. No fun waking up to lots of noise and no water.

most likely the construction crew turned off the water to the area - hope they leave you in peace and quiet now

We lost our power in the Gale force winds. It came back on 2+ hours later, just as I was pondering how to heat our coffee.

Just why did they have to work in your place so early? They never mind that people were still asleep!
