Had a mock fire drill today in school.It was also done few months ago.It's like,a long bell rings and we the teachers,along with our students have to evacuate the school and rush to the school playground.But since it was done after months and everyone was busy with their own work,nobody realised that it's fire alarm for around 2-3minutes.And then as expected,we received feedback from our principal.That all the teachers response was pathetic.Don't know how you will save yourself and your students in such scenario she said...huhh.Next time I am going to be more alert for sure :)

Ah i remember my drills at sea...in full swing....fire drill and ship abandoning drill...those alarms....those times we had to leave and run and gather at the master station....awesome experience

Yes it's an amazing experience. What was the problem you know,the period changing bell and fire alarm are almost similar.So we were unable to understand it for few minutes.

@deepaworld for us there's an international code so we come to know what alarm it is for....

@deepaworld did they conducted any training session on how to respond to such scenarios....... Is there any evacuation plan cause after hearing such alarm if all teachers start evacuation without a proper plan then it may lead to stampede too (well it depends on your school infrastructure and strength of children)..... If you have an evacuation plan than its good else you must discuss this with principal
