Do images grow in our memory?

I have a strange thought.
We have a get together of some old friends after about 16 years.
Most of them i was meeting after 16 years.
But i didnt see much difference in them thru years.
We could identify well and seems like the look of the person not changed.
But when after returning home i saw some old photos, they are all different.
then how come my brain see them as the same person?
My doubt is that, Is the images in our brain too get older as we get older?
Someone has a similar feel?

Yeah I guess some people don't change as much as others. Hmm.

I can't recognize them if I haven't seen them for so long.
