The big "thing to have" lately has been Yeti products, especially the cups they have for sale. Personally I have gone for the RTIC cup because it's $10.99 and from what I understand it keeps things cold/hot for just as long if not longer than the far more expensive Yeti brand. I'm certain now people just buy the Yeti version for the status symbol so to speak. Overall I really like my RTIC cup. It keeps my drinks cold for quiet a long time and it keeps me from using lots of cups or using disposable cups. Anyone else own one of these cups?

I've never heard of the RTIC cup. I've heard of the Yeti Cup, and I imagine the RTIC cup would catch on more had it a better name.

I think they were playing on the ability for it to say cold for long periods of time because they show a polar bear on the branding and then instead of arctic just RTIC. Sometimes I think they lost the creativity of it all along the way. It's a little too much in my opinion.

@13tyates Hmm, see I thought RTIC was an acronym and not a play on "Artic." Yeah, I'd have to agree, they had the right idea about it but something fell short.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Names aside I sure have enjoyed my cup. I'm not entirely sure on the naming.

Maybe in certain areas of the US it's not as common. Here in Texas they are everywhere.

No, I am not sure we have Yeti cups here, we have cups that keep the beverage hot or cold for several hours, but not Yeti.
