Sometimes a knitting lesson is also a lesson in justice and equality.
This discussion is total bragging about my granddaughter's politics and her knitting skills.
Friday has always been my favorite day of the week. I plan on spending it at the pool and at a restaurant on the water with cocktails and an early dinner. I will not be watching TV.
Happy Friday everyone!

Your granddaughter knits wow I'm impressed. My mom, grandma, and both sisters knit. When I was young my mom tried to teach me to knit. She put the first row on, I put the 2nd row on and then I couldn't get the needles in the 3rd row, she told me I was knitting to tight, what does that even mean lol. That was the end of my knitting. Heck I am so not artsy craftsy, I can't even sew a button on a shirt. Same thing, I did it once couldn't button the button. Hubby told me I sewed it on to tight, here we go again. So now my sisters knit me things and hubby sews my things lol.

@fishtiger58 When I was 8 a neighbor taught me how to knit and purl. I wound up with a 50 foot long scarf. I never learned how to end it, and she passed away. Now I don't need warm clothes. Lol!

She's so cute! I did a lot of cleaning today. I'm having guests on Sunday for supper. Funny, I was also at the pool and I was the only one there. I also enjoyed the sauna. Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday Dianna. Unlike you and maybe your daughter, I will be watching TV today while doing my tatting. My knitting is at my ex's house right now so I will tat today. There is still too much snow here to go out today so I will be staying in. By the way that hat turned out great. Congratulations to your daughter and you.

@DianneN Sorry. I meant to write granddaughter. Right now the weather is cool here in my corner of the worked but there is still snowfall forecasting for this week. Thank you for the compliment on tatting. I enjoy doing it even though it takes a fair amount of time to even just tat a doily. But the results are, I find, beautiful to see and display. At the present I started a full length curtain in tatting but I have only one row done. I probably will be done in, oh... about 10 years but it does keep me busy and that is what I like.

I had to work so no possibility of seeing any TV. I am impressed with your grand daughter's knitting! I too knitted long endless "scarves" as a young girl. Both my brother and I were sat down and taught to knit. I am getting back to it now and enjoying it.

Glad you had the opportunity to work! Have you been busy doing it this year?
Thank you. I was in shock myself. I saw her knitting when she came to visit, but her mommy corrected the missed stitches, and voila! I'm glad your brother learned to knit. I wish I knew how to knit when my boys were young. Now, I have no use for warm hats, scarves, sweaters, and mittens.
