Good morning
How is everyone doing. The start of the weekend.Any plans
Not sure how many people here bake.
One Question?
What is your favorite ingredient to bake with.
I like cinnamon,lemon,vanilla
Even though some do not call what I like.Just add to it.Cannot hurt.
Do you follow the recipe? Sometime I do and sometime I do not.
Any hint how to improve baking skill.
What did you bake the last time?

@amadeo Yes I made an eggnog bread pudding, I used eggnog in place of the milk and eggs and it was delicious.

I used to bake Irish raisin bread for my Mom when I was looking after her.
I guess my favorite thing to bake is pies.
Butter is a must for me in the crust. Real butter that is.

Thanks to our grandparents, our recipes are in our heads! Apples are something we like to bake with often. Making these into applesauce gives us a sweetener or fat substitute when needed.

Cookies, for Christmas, I made about 8 batches and gave them all away. Well, I ate a few....I have always been a baker, but not so much now, My husband has taken over the kitchen and that is just fine with me... I still do bake occasionally but a lot less than when we had kids around. I still like to make pies - that would be my favorite... and Chocolate - my favorite flavor (but not for pies...)

@DianneN you can eliminate the sugar for a replacement.
For instance banana is sweet enough and you do not have to add sugar.
I have done this many times.there is also sweetener. If you want.there are many ways to cut out the sugar without missing them.
there is also Blue Agave nectar that many people use. When are bananas are overripe they are sweet.
