A Horrible Night

The day was moving fast The time was getting late I just couldn’t understand What was all the haste The rushing and the bustling Became somewhat overwhelming It just didn’t make any sense As we drove home a car drove past And we were lagging behind it As it started to rain we had a new plan But it wasn’t without time wasted The car made a noise, a rumbling And the vibration was numbing.  We almost hit a fence.  My wife had forgot to bring the car So the engine now started to remiss We were slipping and sliding  The road became blurry as we spun It started to rain so we couldn’t see far We both got scared and very pissed The car straitened out and was riding But we almost hit an old lovely nun We finally got home, all in one piece I got out of the car as my wife started crying I tried to calm her down but she was upset We both almost died a horrible death The car was old, an old Caprice The sitter came out and said we were tardy But we sat and explained the entire upset We told her the night was a complete mess Copyright © 2017 Steven Cetta All Rights Reserved Image Credit: CoolText.com inertia4, Horrible, Night, inertia4poetry

No, this is not a true story. Sorry, this is a poem I just wrote for a poem challenge. Please don't think this is real. It's all fiction.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Oh, okay. But I should really add a footnote to my writing. That way no one gets confused.

This is not true. This poem is all fiction. Please don't assume it is real. Most of my content is fiction. Some is not. I will write a footnote from now on.

@inertia4 It is good that you can get inspired like that. I wish that I could be like I used to be.

@velvet53 You can still get inspired like that. Maybe you haven't focused enough on it. I know I slipped from writing for awhile. So I know I have the ability to do it again.

Thank you. I try. As you know, this is all fiction. Sometimes these things just come to me. And other times I look for inspiration. Music mostly helps me. And sometimes a good movie will spark a poem like this.

@inertia4 Good Writing! Most of my writing, even if it's fiction is based on my life experiences.

Everyday is good for me. This poem is fiction. I know some people read between the lines and think they are from real experiences.

No it is not inspired by real life. I see a lot of people really think that. What I am going to do from now on, if something is real or partially real I will write a footnote at the bottom. This one is all fiction.
