A Horrible Night

The day was moving fast
The time was getting late
I just couldn’t understand
What was all the haste
The rushing and the bustling
Became somewhat overwhelming
It just didn’t make any sense
As we drove home a car drove past
And we were lagging behind it
As it started to rain we had a new plan
But it wasn’t without time wasted
The car made a noise, a rumbling
And the vibration was numbing.
We almost hit a fence.
My wife had forgot to bring the car
So the engine now started to remiss
We were slipping and sliding
The road became blurry as we spun
It started to rain so we couldn’t see far
We both got scared and very pissed
The car straitened out and was riding
But we almost hit an old lovely nun
We finally got home, all in one piece
I got out of the car as my wife started crying
I tried to calm her down but she was upset
We both almost died a horrible death
The car was old, an old Caprice
The sitter came out and said we were tardy
But we sat and explained the entire upset
We told her the night was a complete mess

Nasty incident for you both to endure. Very glad you got out of that one.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Oh, okay. But I should really add a footnote to my writing. That way no one gets confused.

@garymarsh6 Why thank you. I never think of myself that way. I am just a regular guy doing something I enjoy.

take care especially when you are driving, either at night or during daytime

Very nice. I can't write poetry to save my life.

Is this based on a true experience, or just a vivid imagination.

Is this poetry inspired by real life? I hope not, but if so I'm happy you're safe
