No no, not for me, it's for Ally ..... if only she'd play with it.
I had to get milk n stuff and decided to see what was in the pet food isle.
So I bought Ally a blue pokadotted purple pig for about $4. It's supposed to grunt but it sounds more like a fart. I had fun makin the cashier laugh.
Ally isn't sure she likes it yet and Boobear definitely does not.
What cha think of Ally's pig?

Oh your title fooled me to carry on reading so I did. The responses too and I see I was not mistaken after all

The dogs here take no interest in anything we buy, unless it is food!

It's way cute, I bought an orange pig once for my son's dog, he loved it had it tore to pieces within minutes lol.

Of course, @Daljinder I'm not stepping on it that hard. I think Ally is beginning to like the purple pig.

Aw that's a cute toy. I don't know much about dogs, but I know my cat will sometimes take up to a week to even acknowledge something new I've brought into the house for her. Maybe Ally needs some more time to decide if she likes it!

Dogs are a bit different. Some love toys no matter what you get them and others, like Ally, will try to please you by trying to play with something they don't like.
Now my cats, well, the one I raised, loves feathers but will only play IF she is in the mood. I also have mom's cats, Max and Meetzee, who'll play as long as I am in there with them .... I think they're still in shock because I had to take them out of their yard and bring them here after mom passed.
Do you know a lot about cats?
I am trying to integrate mom's old cats into my situation with a dog and cat and it's been tough. Is there a trick to getting cats to accept new situations if they're over 12 years old?

@rebelann I'm sorry about your mom. That's nice that you took the cats in, I hear stories about pets going to shelters after their owners pass away, and then they have trouble finding homes because people want kittens and puppies.
I wish I had some good advice about the cats. I have only had my cat for a year and have been learning as I go. She was 13 when she came here, but I think she adapted well because she had been out in the cold and was happy to be in! I also don't have other pets, or kids, so it's quiet and she gets a lot of attention. (Her previous owner said she wasn't getting along with another cat, and so had always insisted on going out). Do you have a room where the cats can be in by themselves and get away from the other pets if they want/need to? Or at least spots of their own where they can't be bothered, like beds or a cat tree? From what I understand having a way to "escape" can help.
Sorry I can't be more help, I hope everyone adjusts soon!

Thanks for your response and kind sympathy @fluffysue
I keep mom's kitties in a separate room with the door closed. The problem they posed is that they are very dominating which scared the heck out of my kitty and even my pup. So far it seems to work but I do feel bad that they can't see me as much as my own two can.
Who knows, maybe it'll all work out eventually. At least mom's kitties have a home which I think is better than being in a back yard where no one lives anymore.

It's all about Ally liking it. I keep buying tennis balls for Preiti. Have loads of them. She will pick up from the pile whenever she wants to play.

Me too, but it'll find a new home tomorrow. Flynn is a german shepherd and Kody is a golden retriever, I'll bet they'll love it.

I've seen something like that before where I work too. Aren't dogs colorblind? If so, I wonder what it looks like to her? Does she usually like plastic toys? Some dogs do and others prefer the ones with fuzzies on them, so that may be part of why she's letting it be?

I don't actually know, some say they're color blind but why is it some dogs prefer one color to another?
She doesn't really play with toys much, I bought her a ball that squeaks and I'd kick it around for her to fetch but the damn thing is lost somewhere on the lot.
She's never displayed any interest in any of the toys I've bought.

What a beautiful dog! I had a toy like that for my dog too. She played with it once and put a hole in it and wouldn't touch it again. When she first got it she was unsure of the noise and when we finally convinced her to play with it she broke it! She wasn't that rough with it either so now it sits with her other abandoned toys!

Thank you I'll tell her, of course she probably agrees with you
I'm gathering all of Mykeys old toys and giving them to a friend who has large dogs plus she has a friend who rescues so whatever she can't use she'll give to her friend for the rescues.
