How do you choose yours?
I like mine quite hard and not too long.
Once it starts changing colour I find it quite off-putting and usually do something else with those like that.
Do you see them all on display at the supermarket and only pick certain ones or does any kind at all suit you?
At least once a day everyone should have one.
It is good for the heart and helps to stop cramps
Some are small and some are much longer.
Some are bent, extremely bent but I don't think that really matters
There is a lot of useful information in the link so I won't go into detail here and today, instead of coffee, I will be having banana withe ice cream as it's Sunday
I was talking about doing my homework on another post with @Vandana7 and that inspired this
Learn about the possible health benefits of bananas, including lowering the risks of cancer and asthma, lowering blood pressure, improving heart health and promoting regularity.

How can a banana make you remember potatoes?
They have nothing in common at all

Well, they do have one thing in common @mysdianait potassium which helps prevent leg cramps.

@mysdianait Yep! Certain types hurt my insides! Burning sensations ya know!
....and some are too hard for my liking. In such case I prefer to go for something...um soft

@mysdianait Even if they eventually ripen it would be no use to me. I often think I would like a banana and buy a few, but never decide that I may fancy a banana in 2 or 3 weeks.

@Asylum No I only get them two at a time just in case I keave them there and then they ripen. I am not even sure that when they are green they would ever become quite as tasty as the yellow ones.

Me too. I would never even consider a green one. They don't even appear to be part of the same family if they are still green.
Yes a sundae indeed!

I don't like banana's at all actually. I never eat them. I know their healthy for you but the texture bothers me for some reason, something about them grosses me out.

@LovingMyBabies Ilike canned peaches too but onlyin winter. I prefer them fresh the rest of the year
Surely peanut butter is slimy? I tasted it once and never again as I didn't enjoy it at all.

@mysdianait I don't like slimy textures. Apples I only like with peanut butter on them. My favorite fruit is canned peaches. =)

@mysdianait I told to my doctor and he said it is an allergic reaction. It seems it is not so uncommon, several people have stomach cramps eating bananas, but you can also get legs cramps. He said to avoid eating bananas. He explained that it is an overreaction of the immune system to the protein chitinase contained in the banana.

I prefer organic if possible. Slightly under ripe on the greenish-yellowish side - kinda hardish. If buying them by the pound, I prefer them short . . . if buying them by piece, I prefer them long. And in eating them, I prefer them peeled .

Can you buy them 'by the piece' there? Everything must be weighed here in Italy by law.

So when they sell them by the piece, they are all exactly the same size?

@mysdianait Most places here sell them by the pound. Only one store I know of sells them by the piece . . . a store called Trader Joes - they have both regular and the organic. Oh, I like those little mini bananas too . . . whatever they're called .. . but the kids actually think they are too sweet!!
