Stand Up For Liberty

Hour after hour Our freedoms washed away The seconds tick on by With no relief in sight We have to stop that power That he has taken away He’s evil and he’s sly We can’t give up our rights The effects are already felt This world is coming apart The torture and the hatred Must come to an abrupt end To continue on this path Will surely break some hearts Alternative facts created And the lies will not end Our hunger and our freedom We have to fight for now We will not be proven wrong We must hold onto our beliefs All those lies we see them But how can it go on This land is a ticking time bomb With savages in the street The days of reckoning are coming We will win and stand tall This evil that’s upon us Will come to a deadly end The right is all consuming Thinking their on the ball We will no longer be shushed  We will reign again Copyright © 2017 Steven Cetta All Rights Reserved Image Credit: CoolText.com inertia4, Stand, Liberty, inertia4poetry

@inertia4 Our country has too many problems. One of the worst, is that we are hell bent on helping every other country in the world when we have so many people here homeless and hungry.

@Shellyann36 That part I agree with. But we cannot turn our backs on immigrants who want to come here. Remember, america was built by immigrants.

Thank you. We are all in trouble right now. This country is in jeopardy of losing it's identity.

@Jessicalynnt I didn't know. I guess I was pre-occupied all that time. I did have a hard year last year. I will keep checking your profile for new ones.

Many of us feel this way, myself included. We are the people and we still have a voice. I hope something will be done when we speak up.

I hope so too. My son keeps telling me to run for president in 2020. I laughed at him. But he might have a point. We just have to band together to remove the disease that plagues us right now.
