Are you afraid of thunder or lightning?

It's raining now, with some thunder echoing and lighting the sky.
I have no problem with thunder or lightning (I think it's a quite interesting natural phenomenons), but I hate it because my mother doesn't feel very well. She's always very upset with them, and me and my dad have to keep distracting her until she falls asleep.

I am afraid of both as these days both leave behind destruction.

My grandmother was terrified of lightning and would run around covering up all the mirrors as she believed mirrors attracted lightning. I love thunder but am not so keen on lightning. But, of course, you can't have one without the other.

Yes I am afraid of thunder and lightning. Anybody who is not afraid is perhaps too ignorant to know the danger. That being said … I love thunder and lightning. It's magnificent! Also, I have heard that some people who get struck by lightning when they regain consciousness find that they have abilities they didn't used to do. I think it would be really cool to wake up as an accomplished pianist or with a mind like Einstein.

I'm sorry that thunderstorms bother your mother so much.
I learned to love thunderstorms from my maternal grandfather. He would take me out in the front hall and we'd stand just inside the door watching the show of lightning and listening for the thunder. Thanks to him, I never thought of thunderstorms as scary. I passed that on to my sons, who both love thunderstorms.

I actually sleep better when there is a thunderstorm. It surprises me when I hear someone say that there had been a bad thunderstorm the night before. I just smile because it doesn't bother me. During the daytime when a storm hits, I enjoy watching it. The sky lighting up and the loud booms of thunder are amazing. The only time I don't like them is when I am driving in them. It becomes a bit nerve wracking.

I used to be really afraid of lightening because we had this giant antenna that you could see almost a mile away and thought that it would strike it.
I love storms but my house is falling apart so it is scary haha
