Money doesn't bring happiness.

I don't know, but every time I hear someone saying this... I have a certain impression that the person is being a little hypocritical. Don't get me wrong, I know how to make good use of the small, brief and simple moments of life (which, for the most part, don't require money) but... To say that money doesn't bring happiness is a little too much for me. What do you think about it?

Having money makes life easier. We can buy what we want and pay bills without worry. However, those who have money are not always happy. Relationships and job satisfaction seem to be what brings happiness.

@PatZAnthony That's why I say it's an exaggeration to say that money doesn't bring happiness.

@TheInvisibleMan Yes, of course some would be happier with more money. Not being able to pay bills or by food makes people unhappy.

You are hundred percent correct...most of the happy moments of life are solely associated with money

I think it should be rephrased. Too much money doesn't bring happiness, maybe? Money brings me happiness because I'm able to pay my bills and put food on my table and live in my apartment. For the people who are rolling in dough and buy whatever they want, whenever they want, I can't imagine they would be very happy if they are used to having anything. Well, I guess it's not the money.... it's more the attitude. If you have too much money, you may become selfish and not appreciate anything.

@sabtraversa @missjessicadawn "Too much money" could be a great rephrased.

money helps to get the things which are required for our happiness...for example my GF makes me happy but to be with her I have to visit her country and for that I need money...

I think the problem would be - the love of money - then people would commit even murder to get it. Money is necessary for a comfortable life, but some people have tons of it and still cannot find happiness.

Money does not bring happiness just because of the law of Economics "man is insatiable." we always want more and more and never satisfied.

I think there are some very rich people in this world who are quite sad and miserable because they only have money and no love. To me love is what brings true happiness.

Money is not everything .. having said that - we cannot live without money. It's the need to live in the society. Happiness on the other hand is decided by the self ... we can't buy happiness with money.. people without money could still be happy. For eg. When you get a costly car - happiness would come only when you enjoy driving it. If I keep it idle - will I get happiness ??

My opinion on this is that money might not bring happiness but it sure keeps paying the bills, keeping a roof over your head and filling your belly and that is what makes you happy.

I've never heard a poor person say that. It's only those who have at least enough to eat, some clothes and somewhere to sleep that say money doesn't bring happiness.

Money can make a person happy but being greedy could cause unhappiness too.

It does not bring happiness, but it does make life easier and you can focus on the things you like without the fear of losing your hours of not enough food. That's my opinion. BUT - if you have money, it doesn't mean you're happy, happiness is something that comes from the inside.
