I have eaten frogs legs without knowing that they were frogs legs. That is how my brother introduced frogs legs in our diet. But that was the first and the last time I added them in our diet. They taste like chicken but somehow something that has never been eaten before is not something that I can easily adjust to. They may be under the exotic category but that is not for me. Have you added any exotic food to your diet?

Being a picky eater I have and never will eat frog legs. I don't like surprises where my food is concerned

I stick to the tried and trusted all I can. I will do chicken a bit different every so often and meat like that but I have never eaten frog´s legs. My Hubby has eaten them and he likes them.

@allknowing Me not even once. I remembered the poor old Frog they tried to get me to cut up at School and the only thing I did was to draw it in detail as if it were alive. I felt so sorry for it. Same happens to me with Lobsters and Crabs. I got a Prize in dilligence but much rather would I have seen the Frog alive. I used to watch them in the Ponds.

They are very big compared to our local frogs. It is a traditional and not "exotic" dish at all in France. I enjoyed to fish frogs when I was a kid, but I am not very fond of frogs legs.

They say everything tastes like chicken. I could not bring myself to eat them. However, I've had turtle soup, deer, alligator, rabbit, snails, and a few other things which I won't ever eat again.

Sure there must be stories behind how you got to eat all those things. Me too. I ate those frogs legs only once.

We do not eat anything from living creatures, only veggies, beans, fruits. Went to lunch with a friend who got 'something' from the salad bar he thought was chicken. He said it was rather swampy tasting...then realized what it was. FROG!

How could your friend taste something without knowing what it was. The restaurant should have mentioned it already.

Gosh! I don't eat field frog. I remember I've eaten dog meat without knowing it was a dog meat.

Some eat dogs' meat but I can never think of it having dogs as pets. Nor will I eat frogs legs again.

I've tried quite a bit of exotic or not so ordinary foods. I've had fried frog legs and I wasn't too crazy about them. I've tried and enjoyed alligator, deer, bison, and rabbit. I don't think I'd ever try squirrel, snake or turtle though unless it was necessary for my survival.

That is some kind of adventure tasting so many delicacies. Are there hunters in your family?

@allknowing Not really. Other than the deer (or venison) that one of my husband's hunter friends gave to him, we've had the other food at restaurants. We lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for a few years and things like alligator, rabbit and frog legs show up on the menus at some places. It's surprising to see sometimes. I was hesitant to try some of them but was pleasantly surprised at the flavor. I guess it depends on how it's prepared and the herbs and spices that it's prepared in. New Orleans is a great place to go to eat. The bison we've had a few times as burgers. That was pretty good too.
