Just as when Christmas is approaching we tend to speak only about what we´ll do for the holidays and ask ourselves what will we buy for each one, when difficult times come to us, we also don´t find any other thing to talk about.
Just now, @mysdianait , a friend of mine from a long time here, told me that there was no news about Chile´s forest fires. Another friend told me that the BBC had said that we had had rain. I wish!!!
So I got a link so that you can read part of what is happening

Firefighting planes arrived in Chile from Russia and Brazil to help to combat the fires in the central-south regions

Thank you. I think that it is a shame that the problems of a country that has its biggest forest fires in its history does not appear in the news. People need to know what is happening really in the rest of the world. I was aware (and sad) when the Katrina hit the US.

@velvet53 I don´t know. It is a shame. Both that the fires are still on and that it seems that noone cares for a country that has the richest part of it in flames. Yet we hear in our news the trivia about what your president told the actor Schwarzenegger

You are welcome. I was confused when I heard from a mylot friend that the catastrophe our country is living does not reach the international news. Yet we all have to be aware of the fights of the celebrities.

People have different interest and priorities maybe that is why they are just focus on one thing that they are excited about or a tradition something like that. Not all can see and think outside the box.
