Why do people believe in god?

They need something to lay their faith on .. a Solitary power!!

i think people like to think there is a god and have something to believe in, me personally i dont believe, if there was a god why is there so much suffering, surely god would prevent this.

Because our religion grow us to belive in God...Other people belive in Alah,etc....The religion is an old institute which have most cultures

Because we exist!!! How else would we if gOD HAD NOT CREATED US. iT is about having faith in what you cannot see....

I believe in god why means there is some super natural power is definitely there. I am assuming that super natural power as god.

Some people believe in gods because they need to believe that the world is not unfair, others because they have brainwashed to, others because they grew up accostumed with the idea, there are many reasons. I personally doesn´t believe in any gods, but I think that we should respect the beliefs of each other and try to live in peace.

people believe in god to answer questions they are unable to answer by themselves, therefore the more sophisticated we become the less we are likely to rely on the concept of god to answer our problems

People believe in God because, that gives them confidence and faith in their future.
