What do you find pretty?

There are certain things that make me just sit and look. A child sleeping. Someone giving me that "I love you" look. Pine trees swaying against a blue sky. The inside of a Gothic church. And of course, there are my more obscure ones, like beautiful wood.
This is the back of my new Martin D-18 guitar. It is made of mahogany wood. What makes this back special is the "quilting." There is grain in the normal direction (top to bottom), and also beautiful side-to-side lines. I think that quilting is most often found in harder woods, like maple. Many maple violins have beautiful quilting.
What are some of the things that make you just stop and look? Are some of them a tad obscure, like my love of pretty wood? Feel free to add a picture if you comment. I'm in an "aesthetic" mood this morning. And thanks to @GoAskAlex and the rest of the crew for getting the pictures-on-comments issue resolved so quickly!

Anything in nature really makes me stop in awe of it's beauty and my children too. =)

@LovingMyBabies So do I. I also like getting away from people. But the people you meet out on the trails tend to be nice.

Good scenery. Sometimes when I'm in a car driving through beautiful country, I would just like to stop and get out and take it all in. Unfortunately, I'm usually on the highway and can't do that. Pictures of beautiful landscapes, do the same thing. That's why I love the many pictures I see here. An awe-inspiring moment for me was holding my newly published book in my hand for the first time. It had the same affect as holding my newborn child for the first time. Those are moments that can't be taken away and bring a sense of deep satisfaction to my soul.

3. Well presented food or sweets
4. Leather items like wallets, shoes etc
5. Rainbow
Much more little things ..

@TheHorse - when I see a rainbow I understand the fact that unity is strength. Colours are good but when you put them together it just gives you that vibrant and strong feel..

@smileyhema Interesting perspective. We (the US) are a Country without unity right now.

Tall ornamental grasses waving in the breeze, a male humming bird or house finch putting on their red mating colors as February begins, a Bald Eagle in flight, sun reflecting on his white feathers, his wingspan in flight, the commitment to music on the woman singer's face in the local band we will see tonight (Concrete Loveseat, check out her voice online if you have time).

The guitar is beautiful! Of course my grandchildren make me stop and look, but antiques, bodies of water, animals, a full moon, sunrises, sunsets, castles, well presented food, beautiful landscaping, homes, luxury cars, shoes, handbags, clothes, jewelry, and some people make me stop and look.

Pretty guitar. For me 'pretty' is clean and pleasant and feminine. Make me stop and look? Usually good quality and something I haven't seen for awhile.

I am probably more pedestrian in my tastes than you are, pony... I can enjoy the wood grain of a beautifully finished product, such as your new love, but that would only hold my interests for a few moments.
I suppose my "go to" aesthetic "feels" go to some of the different plants I grow. (Sorry, I told you my tastes are of the common variety!)
One of the photos I posted on the discussion about my yard plants is the one I use for my background on the three tablets I use, one of the pc's I use and sometimes the photo I use for background on my phone... I find the photo extremely soothing and I can get lost just looking at it.
This is the photo I am talking about. This is how my bamboo looked before the idiot ruined it last winter.

That is a beautiful guitar @TheHorse . Believe it or not, I like petrified wood. Out here on my property, there's tons of it and they come in all kinds of colors and shapes from different kinds of wood. And if you go to petrified wood on eBay, you'll see what I mean.

A sunset....sometimes my dog....a field of wildflowers....when I was up north (way up north) there was a field, probably half an acre of Lupins.
