When You've Taken Several Laxatives, NEVER Assume It's Just a Fart....

I had to get a colonoscopy this morning which meant that all of yesterday was spent starving myself and taking all kinds of laxatives. I basically set up camp in my bathroom. I realize this may be TMI but I'm a pretty open book and don't hold things back. lol
I never realized how much I truly loved food until I had to go about 34 hours without it. lol I thought I was going to die. I was more worried about my blood sugar but luckily I was able to keep it under control the entire time, so that's good.
When I was in the waiting room and the nurse came in and called my name, I swear everyone in the room went silent and stared at me as I walked past. It was so creepy. Before I went through the doors, I turned and said, "If I'm not back in an hour, send help!" lol
I'll spare you the details of the story behind the title of this post, but I thought it would be a good lesson to share with anyone who may need to get a colonoscopy...lol

Been there, done that concerning colonoscopy. Aren't you really young to have gotten one?

Probably, but I've been having pains in my abdominal area for years and they just want to narrow things down to try to figure it out.

When I was dealing with digestive problems and acid reflux I had to have an endoscopy. I had them put me out for the procedure. Thankfully, I found a solution shortly after. I hope I never have to have a colonoscopy. Not looking forward or backward to that.

@missjessicadawn Oh my, that would be terrible! I slept like a baby and was surprised when they woke me up and told me to put my clothes on.

I had the endoscopy first and it was awful. I kept waking up during the procedure with the tube down my throat. It was a terrible experience. :-(

Not something I have experienced but it doesn't sound pleasant. I hope they didn't find anything of concern up there. If you've been bleeding I hope it's just diet related.

@missjessicadawn Good to hear. I know women can have all manner of problems in their nether regions. Best to get checked out.

Not bleeding, just having pains near my stomach and they just wanted to check that area to make sure it was nothing. They didn't find a thing wrong. :-)

It wasn't too bad but I'm glad it's over with. The worst part was not being able to eat much for over a day. :-(

I'm sorry but all this did was make me laugh. My kids think farts are hilarious especially the youngest muscle control is still not something my youngest has mastered completely. The funniest is when she accidentally farts and it scares her lol. The quick neck snap and look of surprise on their faces and then comes the laughter because what else can you do its a natural thing and it happens.
