Is our fate predetermined?

What on Earth does this discussion have to do with George W. Bush wearing a ring in the photograph??

I don't think its predetermined our fate...although there is a lot of luck and chance involved...I was actually reading an article about it today...enjoy mylot and have fun posting and replying to discussions

I think it is in some way, but that we decide which way it goes. Like a road that splits several ways, and after you've chosen there are many ways you can go again. You won't know if you choose the right path after you tried it, and most of the time these are one-way-roads. You can't just turn around and choose another path. Sometime there are also little side roads that will help you to get back on track. That's how I'd like to put it :)

No, I don't think our fate is predetermined. We are given may choices. and each time we make a choice we determin where we will be given for the next choice. So we should be very careful about the choices we make.

I believe that fate is predetermined. Everybody's future is predetermined. Had it not been predetermined, then man proposes God disposes rule would not have been followed.

I positively think it is. Can't properly explain why it is so.There are times when one feels that a particular decision was not correct, but at the time the decision was made, the mind starts thinking accordingly....all the followed reactions, behaviour, thought processes get tuned to the same decision..... This is what I call fate or destiny.It automatically steers your mind to think and act in a way which takes you where you are destined to be at any particular time in life.
