I used to sew all my family´s dresses (except my husband´s). Now I can´t even thread a needle.

@pureme That was for sure. But also, years ago (decades ago in fact) boughten dresses weren´t as cheap as they are now.

I wish I could sew well but I have never learned to do it properly. I can sew old clothes but I wouldn't trust myself to fix up anything good. I am currently sewing a craft project made from fabric samples and it's giving me lots of practice so hopefully I improve my technique. It is a very enjoyable thing to do, I agree.
