I am not a person of less sleep!

I wonder how some people can manage with just couple of hours of sleep? I could never do that ever in my life. I need to complete my 6-7 hours of sleep anyhow. Else i keep feeling sleepy and lazy the whole day. Last night, i had few relatives visiting us. They came late and we sat chatting till very late night. And morning I had to be up on usual hours. So it was just 4.5 hours of sleep fro me. Though many people can do fine with it, i feel sleepy and heavy headed. I am sipping coffee since morning just to feel no sleepy as i have work to complete. Even in my college and exam days, i always had to complete my sleep while my room mate managed well without sleeping. How about you? Can you manage with less sleep on some days?

If I get less sleep, I feel restless and it gets difficult to perform tasks. I also need 7 hours sleep so as to keep me going. On weekends, I complete my sleep and do not miss to take a nap in the afternoon.

I'm used to less time for sleep and I still feel fine. Before if I wake up early as early as 2 am by 8 am I will be very sleepy but now I still feel alert even with few hours of sleep.

@shaynas I think because of stress I get used to wake up 2am after that my body adjusted to waking up early. However lately I wake up late because I take sleep meds. I'm very sleepy in the morning

@amandajay I wonder how people manage with less sleep. I actually want to reduce my sleep hours. I sleep for 7-8 hours daily, and at least 6 hours is must.

Yes. I can go a day with just 3 hours of sleep. I have been working for a company and I am in the grave yard shift. My experience got worst when my wife got pregnant. When I get home from work, I need to attend to her needs. There were times when I was about to go to sleep then she feels uncomfortable and demands to eat random food. It may be chips or fruits. We do not have a lot of that in our house so I need to buy it from the store. That was an experience.

Oh...you did so much for your pregnant wife, that's so appreciable. You put her cravings ahead of your needs

I need my sleep hours in too. If in emergencies like having appointment etc.. I have to cut short my sleep then I just have to sleep later in to make up for it.
