Good morning, everyone.Staying home today as we have a whopper of a storm coming.Mike is not home yet and hopefully soon. Are you a good story telling?Do you act out when you tell stories to your children then.?Do you have a favorite?I was trying recall what story that I read to my children and try to act out.Not sure if I did a good or lousy job in doing so. I think that it was Swiss Family Robinson. While acting out ,also let my kids do they acting .They were fair a bit of a ham lol. Do you love to act out while reading?it is fun then.Still is. photo is public domaine.Oh!western also was my favorites.

I used to read to my children and tried to do different voices for the different characters, but I never went so far as acting.

We read to our kids mostly trying to keep them into reading and we talk about them and laugh if you can picture it when being read to.

@amadeo They do like it a lot and ask that we read to them even though they can which is nice because we can read them stories like a series of unfortunate events which they happened to like.

I was trained as a teacher and always enjoyed being dramatic when I read to the little ones. I didn't get to too often though as the kids I was around were usually teenagers.

I can be great at story telling from a book . . . I have 2 young kids, so I've been doing this for over a decade now . But as for telling my own stories, I'm not so good at it . . . I mess up the details or don't say it right .

I used to like to use different voices when I would read to my grandchildren. Now they're all able to read themselves so I have no opportunity to enjoy those cuddle up with a good book moments.

Yes I am an okay story teller. I don't have kids of my own so I used to tell stories to my youngest brother and act out. His favorite one was The monkey and the Crocodile.
