It belongs in a cup

Ice belongs in a cup or in the freezer. Ice does not belong on roads or sidewalks or wooden decks that are about five feet above the ground. My county is pretty well shut down this morning. Hubby grumbles that if he had stayed in a motel in town he could get to work. I believe that even if he had found a place within walking distance of his work place, he would not be able to walk there due to the ice coating the sidewalks. But that is my opinion.

It's treacherous in Connecticut, too, so I've heard. Ugh!

@DianneN I'm guessing that you are glad you are not in Connecticut right now!

A few years back we experienced ice on the sidewalks (very rare that it would get that cold here) - and that was pretty scary! It was not cool trying to balance on a sloped driveway - it was too easy to fall. Stay safe!

Ice thinks it belongs all over until it melts than it is sad that it melted.

Hi there. Hope things are going well even if they are entirely ice coated. I wanted to let you know that I've left MyLot, but am still available via email if you want to get ahold of me. I need to put my time into more productive avenues now that my books, blog and websites are really taking off, so focus would be good. Less time here equals more time writing!

Ice on the sidewalk can be treacherous. Aren't there special shoes one can wear during these times to limit the risk of slipping?

Some people are really keen not to miss days, aren't they? Too conscientious some of them. :)
